You Are Not Alone
I have been working on campaigns to raise awareness about mental health. One of my current projects is You Are Not Alone. "You Are Not Alone" is a follow-up to my previous successful project called, "Getting Through This." After seeing the ongoing need for mental health support, I decided to continue this work. My goal is to reach a diverse audience and provide them with a platform to share their experiences and struggles, as well as messages of hope. I've kept "You Are Not Alone" open-ended because mental health encompasses a wide range of areas.
I'm passionate about this project and look forward to expanding my network and supporting people in expressing their emotions and challenges. I am excited to see how this project evolves, as it so far covers topics such as PTSD, anxiety, bullying, and more. It's inspiring to see people sharing their positive experiences and coping techniques.
I've had the opportunity to discuss this project on Trish Adudu's Friday BBC radio show during mental health awareness week, and it has featured in exhibitions around Birmingham. I am eager to see how many more individuals will connect with this powerful project. Mental health initiatives are particularly meaningful to me after losing my sister. I want people to know that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can relate to the individuals in the portraits.
