Hi, my name is Donna Bridgewater, the proud owner of the award winning business Bridgewater Photography. I've been passionate about photography since childhood. I learned photography at Sutton Coldfield College and obtained a degree in Photography from Coventry University. I also pursued a career as a photojournalist and later qualified as a Teacher through Warwick University. I then went on to complete a qualification in specialist education through Warwick University.

For over 10 years, I've worked part-time as a Lecturer at an SEN college, gaining experience with learners who have physical and learning disabilities. I have dyslexia, dyspraxia, and Irlen Syndrome, which has inspired me to further my skills to work with a range of learners. I've dedicated over 15 years to refining my photography and editing skills, sharing my expertise by lecturing at a college, conducting workshops, and providing one-on-one mentoring in photography.

I'm delighted to have started my business through The Prince’s Trust and was awarded the regional Enterprise winner in 2018. I enjoy capturing diverse photographs and offering various services, such as working with businesses and charities, shooting model portfolios, taking memorable family photos, and capturing weddings and events.

Since my teenage years, I've been passionate about making contacts in the world of modelling and TV. I was the first goth girl on the BBC series Waterloo Road, working alongside the well-known actor Neil Morrisey, which inspired me to help guide others into the world of TV and Film. Besides my professional work, I focus on creating campaigns around mental health. These campaigns have been published in the national press. After losing my sister, who was a talented published poet, I've been involved in projects supporting mental health in the community. These projects have been exhibited, and I've had the opportunity to speak at The Royal Photographic Society Contemporary Group, universities, and schools. Additionally, the work has been featured in national publications along with awards and showcased features. I hope that these projects will help people feel less alone in the world.

Check out our projects below and what work we have had published in the press.
